Just a short note to wish you all a happy new year and the very best for 2010.

Many thanks for the wonderful time we had on the Lebombo Hiking trail. We will remember it fondly for years to come and will never forget the fabulous experience we had when the elephant calmly visited our camp on the second evening while we were preparing dinner. It truly was a unique experience.

Look forward to staying with you again when we return to South Africa in the hopefully not too distant future.

Dear Marichen, thanks. Machampane was very, very nice. We have been telling everybody here about the elephants nightly visit. Quite an adventure! Just to let you know we had a great stay at Machampane.

The staff were great and the position and real wilderness ideal for us. We will be promoting the camp and including it on the itinerary once we have finalised our route.

If you can also let the camp know we saw a large male leopard when we left, particularly Torsten as we had some discussions about this. We were very lucky as it was already 10h30 in the morning on our way to massingir, just after the old bomas on the left a Leopard walked across the road in front of us. It was quite shy so moved off but we did get a good sighting.
