The Defender Trophy Limpopo 2017, an overland family fun event took place between the Luvuvhu and Limpopo rivers in an area which is close to Pafuri in north-eastern Limpopo.

The 25 x Land Rover Defenders followed a route which included sections of the Luvuvhu 4×4 Eco Trail, which meanders through the wild Makuya Park sector of the Great Limpopo Transfrontier Park, before making a newly opened section at Awelani Lodge their base from where they further explored this beautiful wilderness area.

Bonding and camaraderie between participants is strongly encouraged and a key ingredient to the event.

Aimed at standard Defenders, “natural obstacles” and routes are selected with care to ensure maximum fun without the vehicles getting damaged in the process.
